The absolute deadline to file a late file (in this example 2023) is September 19, 2023. After the September 19th filing deadline; by Florida Statute (Fla Statue 196.011(8), you are precluded from filing for 2023. After September 19th, your application will apply for the tax year of 2024.
ITEMS NEEDED WHEN FILING FOR HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION IN Broward County

Non-Homesteaded property assessments will rollover 10%, year over year (taxes influenced by millage rate of municipality).
